Don’t Talk to Me About Pigs!

Posted on September 10, 2008. Filed under: John McCain |

And the headline reads “Did McCain call Romney a ‘pig’?” And the answer is a resounding YES!

“Never get into a wrestling match with a pig. You both get dirty — and the pig likes it.”

Yessiree, those were McCain’s exact words as reported by the Boston Globe in December of 2007. So why is there so much flap about Obama’s recent pig comment? If that statement was so offensive, why are we not shrieking at the pig statement by John McCain? I, for one, find this disparity to be an outrage.

Why so outrageous? Because of a pig statement? No. This is outrageous because there is yet another attempt to sway the American public (and the world; they are watching) away from the double standards of the McCain/Palin camp. Never have I seen such pandering by a official hopeful.

Don’t get me wrong. This is not nearly a blow as the attempt to “out-minority” Obama by McCain’s pick for presidential running mate. Still, it reeks just as pungently. It just plain stinks. However, isn’t this the right thing to do to skirt the major issues that plague our nation upon which we will choose our next leader?

May we get back to those real issues? How about “How to Get Promoted in PalinWorld.
